They refused to take down my picture!
For 3 years straight, my picture kept appearing on the same “DJ” website for voting, with other female DJs from around the world.
Every year my management had to email them remarking that they are not authorized to use my picture and name and that I have no wish to be in their contest.
I waited for 3 years to post this, but since the situation continues and IG does everything to stop you from reporting, I think it’s fair to finally express my feelings here.
If you ever see me appearing in any “female DJ competition”, know that I don’t support this kind of competition, especially when it’s just between female and not based on skills.
Besides, I found it very sexist that we are grouped with females only.
There is no such thing about who is “better” between professional DJs, everybody plays different genres and have their own style.
Some may think Tiësto is number one but for me sorry his music will never be my thing, to each his/her own.
I find it ridiculous how some website use DJs to advertise for them for free, cause some DJs will be glad to be there and will repost.
This TopDJ thing was all bullshit since the beginning, but now is 2020, people woke up and can smell what’s real and what’s not.
